UCL: Clubs won’t want to play against Chelsea soon – Joe Cole reacts to Blues’ latest victory

Former Chelsea forward, Joe Cole has warned the club’s rivals that they ‘won’t want to come against the Blues in the next couple of weeks’.

He also hailed Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz, describing the German as an ‘outstanding’ player after the Blues’ Champions League victory against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

It is now two wins in two matches for Graham Potter’s side as they defeated the German side 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, booking their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition, with Havertz netting the winner from the penalty spot.

Chelsea’s next games are against Leicester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Liverpool as they look to climb the table.

“Enjoy it, enjoy it!” Cole said on BT Sport after Chelsea’s triumph over Dortmund.

“Little patterns of play were starting to work. Kai Havertz coming into the game, he was absolutely outstanding tonight. Forget what it took to retake that penalty.

“You won’t want to be playing Chelsea in the next couple of weeks.”
