Thiago Silva spotted celebrating after hearing the final whistle at Stamford Bridge

 


Graham Potter’s men overturned their first leg deficit with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night to reach the quarterfinals of this Season’s Champions League.

 

 

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for the host in the 43rd minute before Kai Havertz doubled Chelsea’s lead early in the second half through the penalty spot to send struggling Chelsea past the Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.

 

 

Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva was absent in his side squad list for the game following an injury, but was present in the stand at Stamford Bridge with his family to support his Chelsea teammates.

With Chelsea leading 2-0, the Brazil international seems nervous as he watches from the stands.

 

 

After the final whistle was blown at Stamford Bridge, Thiago Silva was spotted jubilating as his club, Chelsea secured their place the quarter-finals of the competition.

Capturing the moment, his wife, Belle Silva posted the footage on her Instagram story.
