When All The Votes Go Through Proper Analysis, Peter Obi May Not Get Up To 2 Million Votes— Bashir

A media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has opined that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi may not get up to two million actual votes if the result of the Saturday presidential election is properly analysed. Bashir disclosed this in a post on his official Twitter account today.

Recall that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, rejected the results of the Saturday presidential election announced by INEC. Peter Obi alleged that the members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, rigged the election in their favour which was the reason why Bola Ahmad Tinubu won the election.

The court has given Atiku and Mr Obi permission to inspect some sensitive INEC materials which were used during the election. Reacting to the development, Bashir Ahmad stated when all the election materials go through proper forensic analysis, the Labour Party candidate will not get up to two million votes. He said Bola Tinubu will likely get additional votes if due process is followed.

“When all the total votes go through proper forensic analysis, audits, and examination, I am so confident our candidate (now President-elect), Bola Tinubu, will end up getting additional millions, while the Labour Party candidate (Peter Obi) may likely not get up to two million actual votes.” He wrote.
