Naira Scarcity Created To Stop Tinubu From Winning Presidential Election – Speaker Gbajabiamila

The current suffering brought on by petrol and naira shortages, according to House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, is the result of “elements” determined to thwart Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Party (APC) from winning the presidency on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, Gbajabiamila made this statement in Lagos at the commencement of the second phase of the “Gbaja Ride” transportation program for his Surulere constituents. The 35 low-cost buses will travel a variety of routes in Surulere and the surrounding area.

Gbajabiamila said, “The lower legislative chamber under my leadership has been on the side of the people, working tirelessly to rescue them from these difficulties. As your representative and speaker, I have a good understanding of the current hardships and discomfort being faced by many Nigerians, without exception to my constituents. I’m delighted the judiciary agreed with our stance about the application of the naira redesign policy.

He claimed that the new naira banknotes strategy was well-intentioned but had unluckily been politicized by some individuals who wanted to prevent Bola Tinubu from becoming the country’s next president.

According to Gbajabiamila, the plan appears to be failing because despite the havoc caused by the currency shortage, Nigerians continue to support the APC and Mr. Tinubu.

“Nothing can persuade me that the plan is not an attempt to prevent Asiwaju from becoming the presidency of our nation. But I’m delighted that our God is a great being because he has stopped the conspiracy that these individuals conspired to hatch, added Gbajabiamila.

I have traveled everywhere with Asiwaju as part of the campaign team, he continued, “and I doff my cap to Nigerians.”
