He’s eighth on the list compiled by Ticketgum which includes stars such as Gareth Bale, Jack Wilshere and Carlos Tevez – Mikel has about 1.8 million followers on Instagram, with estimated earnings per post set at $6,127.50 (N2.8 million).
Bale tops the list with the potential to earn up to $162,191 per post thanks to his follower base of 8million – followed by Gerard Pique who could make up to $70,041 per post.
Blaise Matuidi comes in fourth with an impressive estimation of $18,351 for just one Instagram post; and Jack Wilshere follows with his single post valued at around $7,557.
Tevez is ranked sixth with 1.9 million followers and possible earnings per post of around $6,552.50 while Laurent Koscielny takes up seventh place with close estimated earnings of almost $6,412.50 for a single post despite having the same number of followers as Tevez (1.4million).
Nigerian-descent professional footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa secures nine rank on this exclusive list estimated at 1.4 million followers and income value per Instagram post of roughly $4,701.25; completing the Top 10 highest-earning retired players is Slovak centre back Martin Skrtel with 884K followers who can expect up to $4,401.25 for every Instagram post they make on their page.
