I Managed American Businesses, But There’s No Way I Can Apply To Be President Of America – Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, was in Enugu today (Wednesday) for his campaign rally. The event which took place at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, was also attended by Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shettima, and the two APC governors in the South-East – Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.

While addressing the crowd, Tinubu said that he lived in America for many years, and helped the Americans to manage their businesses. He said that despite spending many years there, he is still a Nigerian, and that he cannot contest to be the President of America, but he can only do so in Nigeria.

He said – “I’ve been there, I lived there for over 17 years, I’m still a black man, I’m still an African. I’ve managed their businesses, but there is no way I can apply to be President of America, except in Nigeria… Let us take care of our home. People running away to Canada and Britain, suffering. We’ve been there, we’ve seen them all.”

According to the report which was made by The Nation, there was a heavy gridlock around the Independent Layout where the event took place, because of the presence of the large group of supporters, and that as early as 9am, the place was packed with supporters who were dressed in different attires chanting songs for Tinubu.
