The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has adjusted its election campaign calendar to allow for new activities in the coming days.
According to Punch NG, the new programmes and activities have been incorporated into the revised campaign calendar because of the fundraising dinner scheduled to hold on Sunday 27 November in Lagos State.
According to the revised calendar, the party’s electoral task force will also launch a crowdfunding application on the same Sunday.
Punch understands that the revised campaign programme of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) states that APC flagbearer Bola Tinubu will meet with South West state leaders on 30 November.
The schedule reveals that the campaign train will depart for Bayelsa State on Thursday 1 December.
It was also revealed that Tinubu will meet with organised labour in Lagos on Friday 2 December, followed by a meeting in Lagos and with interest groups in the South West on Saturday 3 December.
A new calendar also indicates that Tinubu’s international activities will take place between 4-12 December 2022.
When Tinubu returns from his international activities, he is expected to hold a meeting with his running mate, Kashim Shettima, in Kaduna on 13 December, before heading to Minna, Niger State, the following day.
A town hall meeting is scheduled to take place in Edo State on Thursday 15 December and a youth meeting in Abuja on 17 December.
In addition, meetings with key stakeholders in the South are scheduled for 19 December in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and 20 December in Calabar, Cross Rivers State, with a similar meeting with creative sector representatives the following day in Lagos, and a campaign closing music concert is planned.
The Campaign Council, which will be off the air from 23 December 2022 to 3 January 2023, is expected to be more active in January and February 2023, with meetings in several states and a grand finale in Lagos on 15 February 2023.
The PCC will devote the period 16-24 February to ‘electioneering’.
