How Barca Overtook Bayern To Become The Club With The Most Players At World Cup

Bayern Munich previously topped the the list of clubs with the most number of invited players after the 32 participating FIFA World Cup teams announced the players that will feature at the football event.

But the injury crisis that have been witnessed in several teams have suddenly altered the ranking as Bayern Munich has lost their place while Barcelona football club have taken over.

This is because one Bayern Munich player, Sadio Mane has been declared unfit and will not participate at the FIFA World Cup. With this new development, Bayern Munich have 16 players at the event.


Barcelona football club who previously had 16 players at the tournament, now have 17 representative. This is because, Barcelona’s left full back, Alejandro Balde was called up to replace the injured David Raya in the Spanish National Team.


So Barcelona Football Club now have: Robert Lewandowski, Andre Ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Sergio Busquets, Ousmane Dembele, Pedro Gonzalez, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Memphis Depay, Andreas Christensen, Jordi Alba, Frenkie De Jong, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Gavi and Alejandro Balde


Whereas Bayern Munich players at the FIFA World Cup are: Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, De Lift, Pavard, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Choupo Moting, Alphonso Davies, Lucas Hernandez, Thomas Muller, Mazraoui, Jamal Musiala and Stanisic.
