Ronald Araujo spotted training with the Uruguay national team in Abu Dhabi.

Uruguayan and Barcelona defender, Ronald Araujo was among the 26-man player selected by coach Diego Alonso to represent his home country, Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar despite still recovering from an injury.


The Uruguayan defender who is currently with his Uruguay national team teammates in Abu Dhabi ahead of their World Cup opener against South Korea on the 24th of November was spotted training with the Uruguayan World Cup squad on Sunday.


You will recall that the Barcelona defender, Ronald Araujo suffered an injury in Uruguay’s 1-0 defeat to Iran in a friendly game in September, leaving the pitch after just five minutes.



Ronald Araujo hasn’t played for his club, Barcelona and his country, Uruguay since undergoing surgery in September after his injury in a friendly match against Iran.



The 23-year-old has firmly established himself as a mainstay in the heart of Barcelona defence and has been an integral part of Xavi Hernandez’s Barcelona squad when he was fit.
