LaLiga: Xavi reacts as Barcelona beat Osasuna, go 5pts clear of Real Madrid

Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has spoken of his pride after his team defeated Osasuna 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The win means the Catalans have opened a five-point gap between themselves and rivals Real Madrid.

The hosts opened the scoring through David Garcia, before Robert Lewandowski was sent off after two bookings.

Pedri levelled for the visitors, before Raphinha’s looping header then sealed the win for Barca.

“I am really proud of the team, of the family that we are inside the dressing room,” Xavi said.

“Everything was against us today: the refereeing decisions, the goal, going down to 10.

“We were intelligent. We took our moments well and were clinical with the chances we had. We were solid in the second half, worked hard and we will be leaders during the World Cup break. It’s a team win today. I am very proud.”
