Ex-Chelsea Player Didier Drogba Allegedly Reverts To Islam.

Former Chelsea player Didier Drogba has reportedly reverted to Islam as revealed by notable Islamic cleric, Dr Muhammad Salah.

Drogba hails from Ivory Coast that’s predominantly occupied by Catholics and usually did the sign of the cross whenever he found the back of the net during his playing days.

Drogba was also reported to have donned a t-shirt that read “Lord Jesus” during an interview in 2006.

Drogba did his trademark celebration after winning the UCL title for The Blues.

What’s more? Drogba gave credit to God after leading Chelsea to UCL triumph in 2012 which made the Vatican’s Sports office to state at the time that the “Holy Father is always interested in such athletes as they are role models for others”.

Although Drogba’s religion was not certain, all these above-mentioned facts points to Drogba being a Christian under Roman Catholic.

But now, according to Muhammad Salah who referenced ‘LETS TALK ABOUT ISLAM, CHRISTIANITY AND JUDAISM’ as his source, Drogba is a Muslim as he was seen ‘praying’ in an Islamic way.

The 44-year old enjoyed a hugely successful career, winning the Champions League trophy in 2012 coupled with 4 Premier League titles as a Chelsea player.
