Tinubu campaign coordinator in Adamawa resigns

The Coordinator of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council in Adamawa State, Senator Aishatu Binani, on Friday resigned from her role to spearhead the presidential campaign team for the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Her action came after she was alleged by the party leadership of the state of single-handedly authorising the list of members on the purported Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council for Adamawa State without the input of the state party leadership and other critical stakeholders.

The state secretary of the party, Dr Raymond Chidama, who made this known in a statement, said stakeholders in the state had adopted the modalities on how to draw a new list without contempt for the Presidential Campaign Council members in the state,.

Explaining that the national list remains constant, he said, “As you are aware, the PCC list is a national list for which Adamawa people are inclusive. That list cannot be affected. They will still come and work with the list we are going to draft in Adamawa State. So the PCC at the national level is still intact it is the contentious one for the state that the stakeholders have all agreed on the modalities to be adopted in drawing it up.”
