Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said that any political party contesting against the ruling All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, is simply wasting its time, PUNCH reports.
The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, disclosed Governor Nyesom Wike’s statement via his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, 18th October 2022. According to him, the Rivers State Governor said “Any party contesting against the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State is wasting its time. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a super performing Governor”.
This development is coming after Lagos State ranked 1st among the 36 States in Nigeria and Abuja, in total Internally Generated Revenue from 2021 to 2022, with N753.3bn, followed by Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, with N131.9bn; while Rivers State ranked 3rd, with 123.3bn.
