Chelsea has dropped points again this evening in Graham Potter’s first game in charge as Salzburg held them to a draw. Raheem Sterling scored the opener before Noah Okafor equalized for the visitors. However, here are the two terrible mistakes Potter made that made Chelsea draw the game:
1. Starting Azpilicueta
The manager made a terrible mistake by starting Azpilicueta this evening as the Spaniard struggled to stop the pace of Salzburg’s attackers. As a result, he was responsible for the equalizer scored by Noah Okafor.
Azpilicueta failed to block the Salzburg’s forward who did better by squeezing the ball into the back of the net.
2. Wrong Changes In The second half
The manager made mistakes in the changes he made in the second half as they didn’t impact the game. It was the same old story just as in the days of Thomas Tuchel.
Other changes were Kovacic being replaced by Gallagher, Hakim Ziyech for Azpilicueta, and Pulisic for Sterling. All of which failed to snatch the victory for Chelsea.
