I used to judge my aunties for being unmarried at 30 but I’m now 37 – Toke Makinwa

Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur, Toke Makinwa, has compared herself to her aunties whom she used to judge for not being married in their 30s.

Speaking on her YouTube show, Toke Moments, she recounted seeing her aunts living with her family when she was a kid and she often wondered why they were still single at their age.

According to Makinwa, she believed the ladies were promiscuous which was why they were still living with them instead of being in their husbands house.

The On Air Personality feels she has now become those aunties as she is 37 years today and still not married.

Toke Makinwa further wondered if her nephews and nieces look at her and think the same way she thought while growing up.

She also talked about the standards and qualities they often looked for in a man, which included, being God-fearing, tall and handsome, which have all been cutdown.

The TV host also raised up the issue of those who used to condemn adults for smoking and drinking alcohol only for them to become chronic smokers and drinkers.
