Transfer: Real reason Sterling, Jesus, Zinchenko joined EPL rivals – Guardiola opens up

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has explained why he allowed Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Gabriel Jesus join Premier League rivals this summer.

The three players helped City win a fourth title under Guardiola last season.

However, Sterling has now joined Chelsea, while Zinchenko and Jesus signed for Arsenal.

Guardiola has, however, brought in Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez.

“There are decisions for the club and decisions for the players.

“I said from day one since arriving here you have to be where you want to be.

“All I can say on Raheem, Gabriel, and Oleksandr is that all we have done this season, without them would not have been possible,” Guardiola told City’s official website.
