Adam Namadi, the son of former Vice President Namadi Sambo, is requesting a refund from Kaduna delegates after losing in the primaries despite having paid N76 million.
People Gazette report, that the younger Namadi hoped to represent Kaduna North Federal seat in the House of Representatives as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer in 2023.
His optimism was dashed, however, when he received only two votes in the primary, leaving him 12 votes behind the runner-up.
To obtain the ticket, Mr. Namadi paid N2 million to each delegate, totaling N76 million. He promised each delegate an additional N1.5 million if they bought the ticket.
With 22 votes to Shehu Airman’s 14, the incumbent member of the House of Representatives for the Kaduna North Federal Constituency secured the ticket.
Political hopefuls attempting to win party delegates of various cadres continue to rake in millions of Naira.
