What appeared like a urine mark on the clothes of the presidential aspirant and acclaimed national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has thrown the Internet into an explosive mode.
Tinubu, born 29 March 1952, (69 years old), was spotted with the “wee” mark on his clothes when he visited the palace of Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu Ode on Saturday.
According to reports, the “urine mark” was noticed when the APC national leader stood up to make his remarks. While many have ascribed the mark to sweat, others have said it is urine and ascribed it to old age.
Attempts to reach the spokesman for the presidential front runner, Mr Tunde Rahman, through his mobile lines for possible explanations proved abortive, as he neither picked his calls nor responded to messages.
One of those who was quick to react to the incident of the wee mark is Reno Omokri, former special assistant to Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan.
Omokri insisted that there is nothing wrong with Tinubu peeing his pants, stressing that it is age-related.
He wrote; “Did Bola Tinubu actually pee on himself? Look, there is nothing wrong with that. It is an age related issue. I pray he gets better. I also pray it does not happen to me when I am advanced in age. I mean no disrespect, but this man should focus on his health!
“For those explaining away Bola Tinubu’s wet backside as just sweat, please you are not talking to children. You are much more likely to sweat on your BACK than on your buttock area.”
Also, Omoyele Sowore, human rights activist and former presidential candidate has reacted to the incident by him saying “Bola Tinubu is sick”.
He wrote: “Bola Tinubu is sick, he needs medical treatment NOT Nigeria’s Presidential seat. The Presidency should not be converted to a hospice!” TheNewsGuru
