WTO DG, Okonjo-Iweala Reacts After Seeing Little Dressed Like Her

Director-General of the World Trade Organization, (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has warmly reacted to a photo of a little Nigerian who rocked an indigenous outfit and posed like her.

The unnamed girl also wore a pair of spectacle to mirror Okonjo-Iweala’s trademark sense of fashion. On seeing the photo, Nigeria’s former Finance Minister labelled the girl as the cutest girl she has ever seen.

She then expressed interest in knowing her saying the resemblance she bears with her is too striking for her to ignore her. Sharing the photo on her Twitter page, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala wrote;

”This is the cutest young girl I’ve seen in her lookalike Nigerian outfit! I almost thought it was my younger self. I would like to know her name!”

The Nigerian stateswoman recently eulogized Burna Boy and Wizkid over their recent triumph at the 63rd edition of the Grammy Awards.

According to Guardian, she congratulated the music stars on Tuesday 16 March during a meeting with captains of the industry sector.

Burna Boy won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album while his compatriots Wizkid also won a Grammy for his collaborative effort with Beyonce on the Lion King: the Gift album at the 63rd edition of the prestigious award scheme held on March 14, 2021.

The WTO director-general while describing the entertainment industry as a vibrant services sector embodied by artists, writers and the new generation of Nigerian entertainers, presented Wizkid and Burna Boy as a shining examples.

“Recently Nigeria’s Burna Boy and Wizkid won the grammy award for their music and I will like to congratulate and applaud them because they were an example of services we can export.

“We are exporting so much of our creative arts abroad and this seems to be encouraged,” she said.
