The Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi has reportedly been spotted carrying his weapon while going out on official duty.
It is believed that he decided to arm himself in readiness for any unforeseen assault amid rising insecurity in the country.
In a viral video shared by Instablog9ja, a man said to be the minister was seen holding an AK-47 rifle as he entered his official vehicle.
He hung the weapon with a rope on his left shoulder as it dangled while going into the car.
The video has generated massive reaction on social media with many advocating for citizens to be allowed to carry weapons as well.
