Napoli reclaimed Serie A supremacy on Thursday after scoring four goals for the second consecutive match. Victor Osimhen scored twice.

The 22-year-old Nigerian scored his first Serie A goal against Udinese on Monday, and the Azzurri repeated the feat against Sampdoria on Thursday to keep their unbeaten start to the season going.

After five games, they have the only 100 percent record in the league, with 14 goals scored and only two goals conceded under new manager Luciano Spalletti.

In the seventh minute, Osimhen should have scored after latching on to a loose ball and racing away to face the Sampdoria goalkeeper, but his attempt was saved. On ten minutes, he made no mistake when his scooped finish escaped Emil Audero’s clutches to give his team the lead.

In the 39th minute, Fabian Ruiz scored Napoli’s second goal, finishing a precise feed from Lorenzo Insigne from outside the area.

After Hirving Lozano sent the ball into his path in the box, Osimhen got his brace in the 50th minute with a right-footed finish.

The fourth came on the hour, when Piotr Zielinski scored with a left-footed finish after another cut back by Lozano.
