Thiago Silva joins Drogba in Chelsea’s history book after 3-0 win over Tottenham

Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva, on Sunday evening, joined the club’s legend Didier Drogba in the Blues’ history book after scoring a goal in his side’s Premier League 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Silva’s goal against Tottenham means the Brazilian has now become the second oldest Chelsea player to score in the Premier League behind only Drogba at aged 36 years and 362 days.

Drogba had scored against Leicester City at age 37 years and 49 days in April 2015.

Silva joined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020.

The veteran centre-back will now hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they host Manchester City in their next Premier League tie on September 25.
