Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister is slammed for her ‘attack’ on Juventus after saying Man.United were ‘deserving’ of the footballer

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has been heavily criticised by the Italian press for attacking Juventus club following her brother’s sensational return to Manchester United.

The Premier League confirmed last Friday that the 36-year-old is returning to Old Trafford, 12 years after he left for Real Madrid in a then-world record transfer. On Monday, he completed his medical in Lisbon ahead of the move.

Ronaldo has spent the past three seasons with Juventus, where the Portuguese failed to help deliver a much-desired Champions League triumph for the Italian giants.

Katia Aveiro, the elder sister of Ronaldo, has angered the Italian media after she appeared to make a disparaging comment about the club on Instagram.

The 44-year-old posted a mocked-up image of Ronaldo returning to Manchester United with the caption: ‘Welcome home my love, welcome to the place you deserve’.

Gazzetta dello Sport responded to the subtle dig aimed by Aveiro, hitting out at the Portuguese for attempting to make a ‘mockery’ of the Italian giants.

The outlet claims that Aveiro was ‘removing a few stones from her shoes’, adding that she did not ‘miss the opportunity’ to ‘shoot an arrow’ at Juventus, with her post labelled as being ‘venomous’ by the paper.

Gazzetta dello Sport further alleges that Aveiro has a history of making negative comments about Juventus, before suggesting that similar efforts could be made against United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
