Wizkid joins Davido as the only Nigerian artistes with two Gold certified songs in US

Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji ”Wizkid” Balogun has hit a new international milestone with his smash hit song, Essence.

The ”Essence” track off his Made In Lagos album has been certified Gold in the United States, making it his second single to clock such position.

Come closer which features US-based Canadian rapper, Drake was the first of his songs to go gold in America.

He joins Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke aka Davido to become the only two Nigerian musicians to achieve such feat.

Davido’s IF and Fall had previously crossed the milestone after selling over 500,000 digital copies each.
