I’ve Never Benefited From Any Political Era In My Life – Bishop Oyedepo

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church International, alias Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has disclosed that he does not fancy being a beneficiary of the dirty game in politics.

Oyedepo cited the instance where he cautioned Nigerians on voting for Buhari in 2015 but he was not listened to. He categorically stated that he has never enjoyed any benefit from a ruling party in the country.

Oyedepo made the submission on Sunday during a sermon at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

He said, “A lot of people were washing their mouths on me, 2015 when I told them, ‘you are heading for trouble’.”

He told me. I saw trouble, I saw Nigeria under stress. He confided in me: warn them.

“I am a zero beneficiary of any political era in my life. Ask them. I have never taken a ballot box in my life. I have grown outside that realm, by grace,”

“When I wasn’t grown, when I was crawling, it was not God’s plan for my life.” You can’t access His plan because you are experienced in the Faith. You need to be in love. He shows me,”

According to the clergyman, it is expedient to pay attention to the poor people in the church before you move outside to help the non-members of your church. He quoted a verse from the scripture, Galatians chapter six verse ten, which has it that Christians are to do good for all people, particularly those who share their religious beliefs with them.

In his words: “Today, there are a lot of people on the side of the road begging for charity, but God says to do good to all men, especially those in the household of faith,”

“Giving to the Needy begins with those who are already in the household of faith. The needy in the church is the best grand to see in terms of giving to the needy, not the malams by the roadside,”
