Funny reactions trail throwback video of Kenyan President holding press conference to deny that he has side chics (Watch)

A throwback video of Mwai Kibaki, a former President of Kenya, denying allegations that he had side chics at that time, has gone viral on social media.

Kibaki who governed from 2002 to 2013 had called a special conference and invited local journalists to State House to dispel reports of his rumoured polygamy.

Local media had frequently alleged that the former leader had a second wife and daughter with Mary Wambui, who is normally referred to as a “political activist” in the president’s party.

“I want to make it very clear that I have only one dear wife, Lucy, who is here, and I do not have any other…

“I want to say quite frankly anyone who is bent on that course will see me in court. And we shall deal with him, no other way whatsoever,” he told a televised press conference, with the first lady at his side and the police chief behind him.

The first lady, Lucy Kibaki, then weighed in, accusing the privately owned Kenya Television Network of being unfair.

“I nearly came to your studio last night to attack you like I did with the Nation,” she said, referring to a notorious incident in 2005 when she stormed the offices of the country’s biggest newspaper at midnight and slapped a cameraman.
