Mrs. Fati Attahiru, the wife of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, also perished in the ill-fated military aircraft that crashed at the Kaduna airport on Friday evening May 21. This is according to Leadership newspaper.
The Chief of Army Staff sadly also died in the crash. It has been revealed that 12 persons were on board the aircraft when it crashed.
Lt Gen. Attahiru assumed office as Chief of Army Staff in January 2021. He was 54 years old.
