Sadio Mane has sensationally stepped forward to make clear that he has endured a poor season with Liverpool, admitting that it has been the worst of his career.

The Senegalese star has been one of the shining stars of Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool team for years, highlighting the excellence of the club’s recruitment policy since the German arrived.

Yet, a return of just nine Premier League goals this season has left people questioning the former Southampton forward, especially as the rest of Liverpool‘s attackers have suffered too.

“This season is the worst of my career, I must admit,” he explained to Canal+.

“I’ve taken tests and I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

“It’s difficult for me to give an answer, Am I eating the correct foods? What do I need to change?

“They reviewed the test results and everything is fine.

“I need to understand that life has its ups and downs. I will continue to work hard so that this situation passes as soon as possible.”

The aforementioned return of nine goals is the worst Mane has registered since signing for the Merseyside club.
