Valencia’s players walked off the pitch after defender Mouctar Diakhaby appeared to accuse Cadiz’s Juan Cala of racism during Sunday’s clash in La Liga.
Diakhaby approached Cala after a comment was aimed in his direction shortly after the half hour mark of the game, with the centre-back then approaching referee David Medie.
After a brief period off the pitch the players soon returned.
Valencia’s official club Twitter account tweeted: “No to racism.
“The team have held a meeting and decided to continue the game, in order to fight for the honour of the club, but denounce racism of any kind.”
