I grew up in poverty – Meek Mill reveals

American rapper and Dream Chasers boss, Robert Rihmeek Williams popularly known as Meek Mill has spoken on how tough life was for him growing up.

The Philadelphia born Hip Hop act took to his official Twitter account to reveal that he came from a very poor background and grew up a less privileged kid.

Meek also said that to survive, he had to sell drugs in school, although he has on several occasions in recent years advised against doing or dealing drugs.

According to him, the neighborhood he lived in as a kid was scarier than what one has seen in movies.

The ‘Lord Knows’ crooner who launched the Prison Reform Alliance aimed at seeking justice for inmates illegally jailed and detained, made the revelations about himself in a series of separate posts on Twitter.

”I grew up in poverty ….

”My hood worst than a scary movie…this is everyday!

I was selling crack in like the 5th grade …. free greasy doe!’‘ he tweeted.
