Europa League: How Zlatan Ibrahimovic reacted to AC Milan 1-0 defeat to Man United

AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has reacted to his side’s Europa League last-16 second-leg 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on Thursday night.

Paul Pogba’s goal ensured Man United defeated AC Milan at San Siro to qualify for the quarter-final, having played 1-1 in the first leg at Old Trafford.

Reacting, Ibrahimovic apologized for his missed chance towards the end of the encounter.

The Swedish star also urged his Milan team-mates to focus their attention on their next fixture against Fiorentina on Sunday, adding that the Serie A giants played well against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

“I was sure I could get it in, but it was too central. As against Inter, I hit the goalkeeper, and I’m sorry, it had to go in,” Ibrahimovic told Milan TV.

“We played well and created several chances. If you don’t score, there are times when they put pressure on you. This moment has come, and they scored. When you make mistakes, you pay for them.”

He added, “We are so disappointed because we have played two great matches. Today we conceded a goal that we shouldn’t have taken. We grow from these situations. Now let’s think about the next match.”
