Nigerian reggae and dancehall singer, Patoranking has described how tough life was for his family while growing up.
He recounted an incident in which his mum borrowed salt from the neighbours and tried to use the experience to teach him a life lesson.
The singer usually shares some of his struggles as a child. Recall he recently explained that his hit song, Abule was motivated by the life he used to live in the ghettos.
In a recent post via his official Twitter account, Patoraking tweeted;
I heard my mom asking our neighbors for some salt, we had salt at home, so I asked her why she was asking. She told me, ‘They don’t have much money and they sometimes ask us for things.
So I asked for something small that wouldn’t burden them. I want them to feel like we needed them too. That way, it with e much easier for them to ask us for anything”.
