A video has surfaced online capturing the moment a British lecturer was seen addressing graduating students in Hausa.

Professor Philip J Jaggar, gave an address in Hausa to guests and European graduating students of the Hausa language at the University of London (SOAS)

The fluency with which he spoke, amazed not just the attendees at the graduating ceremony prestigious institute of learning, but also Nigerians home and abroad who came across the video.

At no point did Prof Jaggar switch to English, owing to a challenge to communicate fluently in the native Nigerian language.
