Meet the 63-year-old Coconut seller who helps the community by filling potholes (Video)

Abraham Ackom, a 63-year-old man’s selfless act of patriotism has caught attention of many on social media.

The man who resides in the Lakeside area of Accra, Ghana, says he is a firm believer in offering one’s self to assist the authorities in developing the nation.

Ackom who sells coconut to make a living, offers to help the community by filling potholes in his neighbourhood after a day’s hard work.

He is a professional carpenter who resorted to selling coconut to survive.

Speaking in an interview with JD Nyaami on SVTV Africa, Ackom said: “I sell coconut but I decided to fill potholes because the government/MP can’t do it all. I’m helping to develop the country and it’s not a bad idea.

”Some people give me money while others praise me for my good work,’‘ he disclosed.

Despite the daunting nature of filling the potholes, he said he doesn’t expect to be paid by anyone because he does not consider it as a job.
