Ikpeazu suspends Chief of staff for spraying cash

The Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has suspended the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Anthony Agbazuere.

This was revealed in a short statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem, on Sunday.

Though the SSG did not state the reasons for the suspension of the human right lawyer, it was, however gathered that the suspension was not unconnected with the COS’s invitation to his office and dance with a pastor based in Onitsha, Anambra State  Chukwuemeka Odumeje, popularly called Indaboski Bahose”

In a video that went viral, Agbazuere was seen dancing with Odumeje who was in Umuahia last Friday and spraying money on the man in his office.

A source said, “The governor considered it as an embarrassment” to his administration.

Agbazuere was at the St Finbarrs Church, Umuahia 2020 harvest where he donated handsomely when the announcement of his suspension came through the state radio outfit, the BCA.

All efforts to get state government functionaries to talk proved abortive as they were not ready to talk on the suspension.
